  : Manuel is a great host. He was very helpful, and was excellent at communicating with us prior to arrival. The breakfast was good with a good range of items, with the fresh melon being the best thing in our opinion. The location is a bit of an uphill slog with luggage on arrival day, but even then Manual helped once we got close to the property. The location is quiet since its away from the fray of downtown Amalfi, but then getting to most things (ferries, buses) requires a walk into downtown. In the early morning or later evening the walk is around 10 minutes but it can take longer in the middle of the day, especially if there are cruise ships in. The town and neighborhood are very safe, even at night. We found the property to be very comfortable, and we stayed there 5 nights.
  : The only flaw was the air conditioning temperature sensor wasnt calibrated properly, so the ac would shut off, then turn back on, then turn back off in rapid succession (sometimes 3 or 4 times in the space if 30 seconds!) with an audible click each time, all night long. I slept well so it didnt bother me, but my wife found it annoying.
